Job Opening with the Africa Program
The Africa Program is seeking a qualified, highly motivated
individual with a strong interest in African issues to serve as a
Program Assistant at the Wilson Center's Washington, D.C. offices.
This position announcement closes August 25, 2006.
The position requires a high level of French oral and written
ability, as well as occasional international travel. The Program
Assistant serves as the administrative and clerical assistant to the
Director of the Africa Program, and is responsible for the overall
coordination of the Program's workshops, conferences, seminars, and
meetings.
Fiscal responsibilities include oversight and reconciliation of
Program accounts. The Program Assistant also assists with the
maintenance of the Program's web site, and with the preparation of
newsletters and other Program publications. This position also
maintains files on all events and funding sources arranges foreign
and domestic travel and accommodations for staff and visitors.
