URBAN BUSH WOMEN PERFORM AT WPCRC

On March 18, 2002 from 3:30-4:30pm there will be a FREE and Open to the Public lecture & demonstration by Urban Bush Woman at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center. Urban Bush Women is an internationally touring ensemble of African-American artists who create multi-disciplinary work rooted in popular African-American cultural traditions. Hair Stories combines text, dance and music to explore the concept of nappy hair and its relationship to images of beauty, social position, heritage and self-esteem. For group reservations at WPCRC you may call Janet Dyer at 245-3667.

This is an MSCR and WPCRC collaborative project. Pass the word.

Thank you - PASS THE WORD and see you at the Center. It's "WHERE YOU BELONG"

For additional information on performances by Urban Bush Women call 258-4177 or log on at www.madcivic.org
