Four (4) $2,500 scholarships will be awarded in July 2002 to those selected
from applications received.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

3.5 GPA in undergraduate study

*
Eligible to students entering graduate school for the first time in Fall
2002

*
Graduate field of study MUST be in PUBLIC POLICY, POLITICAL SCIENCE, PUBLIC
ADMINISTRATION or a closely related field.

Community/School Involvement

*
1-Page Personal Statement Written By Applicant

*
2-Page Public Policy Issue Essay

*
2 Letters Of Recommendation


APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

The application packet submitted should include ALL of the following:

Completed Application Form

*
Transcripts of ALL undergraduate course work:
An official transcript sent directly from the college or university isn't
required. A legible copy is acceptable.

*
Personal Statement
This should be a statement about you, typewritten, single-spaced, not to
exceed 1 page in length.

*
Public Policy Issue Essay
This essay should explain a single key public policy issue facing your
state, and how you would resolve it. It should be typewritten, single-spaced
and not exceeding 2 pages in length.

*
Two (2) Letters of Recommendation
These do not need to be sealed, but should be on letterhead.


DEADLINE:

Completed applications must be postmarked no later than June 14, 2002.
