This is typical behaviour for a monitor that has been exposed to a magnetic
field. Degaussing the screen will remove the problem but the first thing
that you have to do is find the source of the magnetic field and remove it.

Symptons:
Display is fuzzy to the point that text is unreadable. This seems to
be localized to the margins of the display. . . more readable in the center.
Upper left and right corners have color variations. . . tending
toward yellow.
Lower right corner has color that tends to be magenta.
