Hi Paul,
Question. Are you using Windows 98, or Windows 98SE? The original still
had problems with it's USB drivers. I lost a pretty fair amount of hair
with the base version of 98 and USB devices. Resintalling the USB drivers
might help, but going to SE would be better. If it's already SE, then it
just may be a problem with the device, and I would contact HP support.
