Have you installed the Via agp drivers? On new installations I forget to do
it once in a while and your symptoms sound just like that. You can get them
as part of the Via 4 in 1 package. The install program lets you install
just the agp drivers if that's all you need. Are you using on board sound?
Get the latest sound drivers too. I haven't ever run a Geforce2mmx but I've
run everything from a Geforce2 GTS to a Geforce 4 on my MSI 694D with no
problems.

Subject: [PCBUILD] VIA 694X chipsets and AGP Video cards
> Can anyone of you listers tell me why I've experienced so much trouble
getting various agp video cards to work right with mobo's using the
via694x-686b chipsets? I've tried cards from 8mb to 64mb on board video ram
in different brands ie-ATI-Nvidia Geforce 2mmx-S32000-S34000 ATI
Rage--RageII-Radeon etc.etc. They all seem to give me the same game
effects, that is jerky video and sound. I'm using Pentium II's and III's
with at least 128mb of pc100 sdram on these boards. What I really need to
know is if somebody could suggest what brands and types of agp video cards I
should stick to to get good results with via chipsets. Thanks for helping.
