Arnie;
sounds like you may have the keyboard lock on the front of your case locked.
That's all this lock does is lock out the keyboard.
Usually they are locked/unlocked with a small tubular key about 1/4 in. in
diameter.
 I have gotten several computers in for service that
the only problem was, one of the kids played with the keyboard lock.
I usually unplug the lock connector from the mobo to stop this from
happening accidentally,
unless they especially want to use the lock feature.
