Of the ten people who responded, six said Tums were not gluten-free. The
remaining four haven't experienced a problem with them. One respondent gave
me the phone number for consumer info. And this morning, i spoke with Maria,
in that department. According to her research, Tums do contain trace amounts
of gluten. This makes me feel more confident since i seemed to have a gluten
reaction from taking them.
Persons responding suggested Gavisom, Rolaids, Eckert Ultra and Calci-Mix
which is calcium carbonate formulated for dialysis patients....and is
obtained through a pharmacist. One person also said that an acid inhibitor is
needed if one takes such a product long-term.
Thanks for the help and guidance!
Mollie
