My original question was what was "kernel paste" in Gruenebaum's chocolate leaves.  Several listmembers responded that they were also curious about this.  A few listmembers said they felt that it was a nut product (two specifically mentioned almonds).  However, no one was really sure exactly what it is or whether it could include matzoh meal and/or cake flour as an ingredient.

Sorry to post an inconclusive summary, but I didn't want to leave the topic hanging
