I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease about 2.5 years ago. I have been on a
faithful GF diet ever since. My biopsies show that I have been doing very
well with my diet. My doctor says that I have the worst case he has ever
seen. Over the past couple of years, though, my intestines have repaired
themselves "remarkably" according to my doctor. The biopsies barely even
show that there had been any previous damage. So, you would think that I
would be feeling better! WRONG! My stomach still reacts to just about
everything. I can't go anywhere unless I am sure that there is a bathroom
close by! Where do I go from here? I'm getting married in two months and I
would like to start having kids. But, how can I do this if I still feel like
I do? I can't live without my Imodium AD's. I take these about every two to
three days, and it seems that they aren't working as well as they used to. I
have never taken any Lactaid and am wondering if it is a Lactose problem?
Any advise on where to go from here??? My doctor has suggested that steriods
(because I have a touch of colitis) would be the next step, but he doesn't
want to go there unless absolutely necessary. But, I don't want to be on any
medications if I'm trying to get pregnant. Please send me some advise...I
really need it. Thanks!

Michelle
