This is for people who are looking for real New York bagels, slightly sour
and chewy. I thought I'd never taste one again. We New Yorkers are snobs
about bagels. So when I say I've found something as close as I can get,
I'm telling the truth.
The Gluten Free Cookie Jar has a bagel mix. I was reluctant to try it, but
Diane Sutter persuaded me. And am I glad.
You just add water, mix and knead, roll with your hands, shape into about
10 bagels, boil for a minute and then bake. Believe me, they are worth the
trouble. Mine were slightly crude, but I'll do better next time. I froze
them and then microwave briefly, slice and toast.
I have no financial interest in this company. Their website
is: www.glutenfreecookiejar.com
