I recently installed a 128MB memory chip bringing my RAM to 248.

Since then my display colors are all messed up and won't retain changes.

I use the regular Windows setting under Display Properties/Appearance but
the colors that come up are not the colors that I had before I added the
additional RAM.

For example, the Menu Bar, scroll bars which were gray is now purple and
the Active Window bar is black instead of shades of blue.

The white screen is now an off white.

When I first boot up the look OK, but after a few minutes the change.

When I change those colors to the original colors, they change back on
their own after a few minutes and then gray is not shown as a option,
being replaced by purple.

Is my Video card the problem?

I have a Compaq 5441 running Windows 98SE. My monitor settimngs are True
Color 32 bits.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
