System restore in Win Me is a scaled-down detuned Goback without all the custom features. How big the Gobackio.bin file is depends upon how long you want to keep files. If you do a custom install of Goback you can pick how big this file is. On my 40 gig drive I chose to give it 500 Mb, which allows me to revert the drive as far back as 5 days. When I do installs of new software I note the time of the install, and usually let the computer sit idle for several minutes before in order to create a system safe point to which I can revert if the software sucks. I love Goback, and credit it with saving my butt from major reformat/reinstalls of the OS at least half a dozen times, and with recovering from unknown problems more times than I can count. It also has a file recovery feature that allows you to search for a deleted file, plus a feature that allows you to create a virtual drive. Best piece of software I've ever owned.

>The down side is it takes quite a large file to store this.
