Hi Joe!
Looks as if your FBS (Front Bus Spees) is set at 95Mhz instead of 100Mhz (3x95=285 & 3.5x95=333). Finding/Setting the FBS to 100Mhz should "bring you up speed". See if you can get us a motherboard type or BIOS number (found during boot-up) so we can get a better idea of what changes you can make.
P.S., try buying the latest K6-2 550Mhz CPU once you get your FBS to 100Mhz. If you set your multiplier to x2 it will overclock to 600Mhz without a glitch.
