I an trying to write a program which will turn the computer on at a
particular time.
The BIOS on my computer has this facility, and it works fine if you manually
set it by entering the bios just after turning the computer on. I would like
to be able to set this time from within a program though.
I have tried a SWI - int 1a,8 but it just doesn't work on my computer (award
bios,win98). Would anyone -
1) Know how to program this through windows (Does windows ACPI have this
feature)?
2) Know the tech specs of the standard RTC chip, so that it could be
programmed directly (or know where to find it)?
3) Know of any other newsgroups/lists that might be able to help with this
problem?

Thanks

Jon
