Hi,
I have mild cp affecting my walking. I have 2 children. My family doctor
managed both pregnancies. He is also a pharmacist & said valium in small doses
is fine during pregnancy. I took approximately 5 mg. 2-3x/week. I had no
problems because of it. I was told during labor with the 2nd child that valium
within 2 weeks prior to delivery can cause the newborn to have a little
difficulty maintaining their body temp. My 1st child had this the 1st day &
they kept her under the warming light when I wasn't breastfeeding. It was a
minor thing & my doctor never confirmed any relationship & I believe he's
highly skilled.

Interestingly, I didn't need valium while breastfeeding as the spasticity
virtually disappeared & I went back to "normal" as I stopped nursing. I
believe its related to the hormones during nursing. Go for it, girl! Renee
