Rose Florentine,
Check www.endnote.com for a thirty day free trial. It is a bibliographic
software package that automatically works with microsoft word. You of all
people are going to love this (I bet Mr. Graveyard has it). It comes with
connections to many library data bases and lists urls where they exist, but
you can add any that are not on the list easily.
Access, I wish I had more. I can't afford to be paying Stanford or others
at there rates.
Medical world. I use the PubMed site and Medline regularly for all the
family hypochondriacs. Easily searchable, most articles have a summary but
also allow access to the entire document at no cost. You can read the
latest research on say Pancreatic Cancer or Temporal Mandibular Pain in a
flash.
Now how do I get into the Columbia Preservation library? It seems the
architectural schools all have very fancy sites that look the same and are
unilaterally unfriendly (compare to med sites).
Best,
Leland
