This reply is a little late but...I spoke with my wife who is a Psychologist
specializing in geriatric work.  She said "tell Mark to tell his friend,
there is no way to avoid litigation on this."  I know that you said you felt
that the list had helped to give you a clearer vision of what to do...perhaps
the knowledge that in this particular case assisting her in departing this
life is a crime, may give your friend a clearer vision.
