Hi.
What are you using for a speech synthesizer with JFW? If it is a hardware
synthesizer, you might consider downloading JAWS for DOS. It is freeware,
and will probably work better than running JFW and trying to read in a DOS
box. If you are using a software synthesizer like DEC Access 32 or
Eloquence, then that won't be an option. But if you are using a software,
then slowing your CPU speed down (which would probably involve
under-clocking it) would probably defeat the software synthesizer.
You can probably get limited use out of JFW if the software would talk with
other DOS screen readers, but it will probably mean doing some exploration
with your JAWS cursor to figure out what is going on there.
Hope this helps.
