Hello John
I am pleased you seem to be enjoying your 570d. I have borrowed one for
the last month as my ft1000mp has been in for repair.
I have been controlling the rig with TRLOG from N6TR in Oregon.
It is a DOS program but I understand that it can work within a DOS box
in Windows 95/98. I haven't tried it myself as it works superbly on my
old DOS machine.
The author is very approachable so why not mail him:

His name is TREE and he has a web site but I can't recall the URL.
It is a sort of paying hobby for him. A couple of years ago I was
having mega problems with the software. this turned out to be the BIOS
calls so he completely rewrote these for general release.
Sorry about the duff info on the vs-3 a couple of weeks ago, I was
working from memory purely.
I wonder how you are getting on with the menus and speech.
