The initial charge is six hours, but I don't really know how long
it takes after that. I would assume six hours if the battery is completely
depleted.
Be sure you set Menu 9 to PC before trying to use the program. I
read that but forgot I had read it until I was reminded by a knowledgeable
user. I chased the idea of wrong comm port settings and defective cables
for a few days because of that memory lapse!
To change a memory setting through the program, arrow down to the
memory setting you want to change and then put the mouse on it and double
click. That opens up a window and you can tab through various
settings. The first think you are in after double-clicking is an edit box
in which you place the receive frequency. You can also tab to radio
buttons that let you choose simplex, plus, or minus offset, a check box for
pl and radio buttons for the tone, and an edit box for the offset size.
