Hi folks,

If you wish to combine a vacation in Central Europe with what promises
to be a very interesting conference, consider attending the 8th
International Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs
sponsored by the Austrian Computer Society (OCG) together with the
Johannes Kepler University Linz.

One special-theme sessions (Electronic and Virtual Libraries and
Electronic Publishing - Access for Print Disabled People) is of
particular interest to librarians. Its focus is on the following topics:

Accessibility of digital formats
Guidelines for Universal Design of Books
Accessibility E-books for People with Low Vision
Electronic School Books
Virtual Libraries
Digital Right Management
Tools for adapting the original files provided by publishers

For more information visit the conference web site at
http://www.icchp.at/index.html.

The deadline for paper/presentation proposals is January 31.

Axel
