SIf you are absolutely certain that the data cables are for A drives (i.e. there is a split and a crossover at the end that connects to the drive), and that the cable is connected with the red side at pin 1 on both ends, then you could have a bad cable (it happened to me), or your mobo end could be bad. I would start by making sure the red side is at pin 1 on the drive and pin 1 on the mobo. After that I would buy a replacement cable to make sure it isn't a bad cable. After that, if a working A drive properly connected with a working cable doesn't function, you need to have your mobo checked.
