I am attempting to place an image file made by Drive Image Pro of a
clean install of Windows XP to another formatted hard drive on the same
computer. This drive will be set up as a backup in case of disk failure
to my working one. It is probably overkill, but makes a nice exercise to
increase my experience working with computers.

The DMI is the Desktop Management Interface and when it locks up
like this it is due to a hardware issue, most likely it is loading a bad
driver... probably a video driver, (at least that would be my guess).
Are doing a clean install or an upgrade from Windows2000? A
Windows2000 driver should work, but I have heard that some will
cause this problem...
