Hi Everyone!
Sorry for the slight delay on this summary! Thank you very much to all
who replied!
I have no idea if being cold is associated with celiac. I didn't even
think to associate it until my mother mentioned my Dad has been freezing
since going gf, and that is very unusual for him. When I asked my GI
doc about it, he said he didn't know, but believed anything was
possible. So, I was curious to see if this happened to anyone else.
I received a total of 30 replies. Everyone except one person told me
they also always feel very cold, even in the summer. Many people also
are on thyroid medication with normal thyroid levels.
One person said she is heat intolerant instead of cold intolerant.
2 people told me they experience sensations of severe coldness as an
initial gluten reaction.
One person recommended eliminating rice. Said a rice allergy can
manifest itself by making a person cold.
Finally, someone recommended taking 1 TBSP of Cod Liver oil a day.
Said the oils have essential fats in it. She said she used to be cold
all the time until she started taking this.
Thanks everyone for your replies! At least I know I'm not alone and
not crazy!
