I have already taken the GMAT. Its a computer adaptive test; after much
explaining, I persuaded ETS to allow me to take my own equipment consisting
of plastic sheets, a rubber mat and a stylus  for the diagrams.

They do not have any provision for a blind person to take the test
independently; so, its back to the reader and writer.

As for text descriptions of geometry questions giving away the answer, no
it does not happen or at least it never happened to me. I can't think of
any examples off hand. According to the application form, The ETS does
provide tactile diagrams during the GMAT; however, due to the adaptive
nature of the tests, these become irrelevant. The ETS even provides
preparatory materials on cassette. Guess what, the answer sheets and
diagrams are in ink-print. When I wrote to them about this, they said
something to the effect that they would look into it.

As for grade 2 braille, I cannot comment about other countries but in
India, a significant number of blind people no it. My problem with braille
is lack of comfort. I haven't touched it for 5 years!

I am currently struggling with the admissions process. The battle will
start in about 2 weeks when the forms for 2003 admissions start coming out.
