Hi all,,

I am designing a web page in which I have had to have very long labels for
edit boxes.

The web page is in the form of a table where the lay out is
location names
sequence name
minimum value:
maximum value:

the labels for the minimum and maximum value edit boxes read
minimum value for location name sequence name
maximum value for location name sequence name

since the location name and the sequence name are already displayed above
the edit boxes in the table, there is no need to include them in the label
of the edit box but I have had to do so for screen reader navigation
convenience. Can I shorten these labels to minimum value and maximum value
and include the rest of the label text in a tool tip or in some other way
such that only a screen reader picks it up?

Pranav
