Our local grocery carries a large variety of Quaker bagged cereals, many
of which are corn and rice cereals. Most seem to contain barley malt, but
I noticed the Cocoa Blasts do not. The only "suspicious" ingrediant I
found on the list was caramel color. I contacted Quaker through their
website and inquired about the GF status of the cereal, and in particular
the caramel color. The response I received was that the cereal contained
oat gluten but not wheat gluten. This confused me, because the ingrediant
list on the package does not include oats! I fired back another e-mail
noting that fact, and inquired again about whether the caramel color is
derived from wheat or barley. The answer I received was that there is no
wheat or barley in the product.

Has anyone had experience with this product? Does anyone have information
on the GF status of other Quaker bagged cereals?
