Subject: Problems with Zanaflex

Hi there,

First off, if you belong to both CPPARENT and C-PALSY, my apologies for =
the crosspost. I am writing because I began to take Zanaflex =
(Tizanidine) about 2 weeks ago to deal with pain and spasticity. It is =
causing me great problems. I feel like I am high on the medication. The =
doctor put me on 4 mg 4 times a day, but I have to work up to that dose =
over 12 days, and I am not even there yet. I have never felt this tired =
or this confused on an antispasmodic before. I have tried to break the =
capsules in half to minimize side effects, but it doesn't work.=20

Has anyone had this experience before? I have taken lots of =
antispasmodics before and this has never happened to me...

The doctor says he will do Botox injections if the medicine did not =
work, but I didn't expect such an adverse reaction.

Has anyone had a similar experience with Zanaflex?

Thanks
Jenn
