Wisecom 1414IV7G ISA modem in W95.
An elderly neighbour uses this internal modem mostly for emails (which is just as well as it won't do much else!)
However, a well-meaning relative removed and re-installed it, losing the set-up in the process. I've managed to find some drivers for it, but it has a panel of dip switches on it, to set the IRQ I guess, and I'd like to find out what these settings should be.
I'm getting nowhere with Wisecom, whose site is never up, and there's an associated company in the Netherland which keeps no legacy information and doesn't answer emails. Does anyone know anything about this ancient device? Or would chasing up a newsgroup be a good idea? If so, I have to confess an almost complete ignorance of newsgroups and the accessing thereof, so some tips would be very helpful.
TIA
