Frontline, the PBS program has a two part documentary on the Gulf War. I've
only caught bits and pieces of it but, have it Tivo'd. Looks like we made
some rather big mistakes that weren't widely reported at the time.

Anthony,
I do remember the Gulf War. The UN agreed to kick Hussien out of
Kuwait whom he had invaded. We did that in record time and were about 160
miles from Baghdad when Bush I ordered Schwartzkopf to stop and to not take
all of Iraq.
Many people criiticized Bush I for not finishing off Hussein at the time.
But
He was abiding by the UN mandate. I now believe we would have gone after
Iraq
even had 9/11 had not happened, because it was on George W.'s agenda. This
war is not about oil or American business, it's about avenging George I's
"mistake".
