True, but sometimes disabled people use their disabilities to limit
themselves. I remember an old school mate who had CP and never wanted to
play softball for example because she didn't think she could do it.  She
could have; she could run and hit a ball. Not very gracefully, but she could
have.
I could tell you of others who assumed the same.

I happen to think society makes us have such assumptions and so we believe
them and thus limit ourselves.
