I don't think you'll find any law against this. Alex
has multiple specialists and the rest of the family
have their GP's. It's not uncommon to get a notice in
the  mail( they do try to call first but this is a
household on the  go)canceling appointments that have
been made 5/6 mo in advance,with only 2 weeks notice.
They usually have another appointment scheduled and
notice to call if it is inconvient. I can call and
change the new appointment but never get back the  old
one. We use a large hospital and it's clinics for the
appointments and appointment making/changing is one
the most frusterationg aspect about them.
