In a post the week of Jan 14, in a thread about avoiding dairy in
airline food, someone mentioned how they pack their own food (a good
idea; we do it too), and mentioned they take their own plastic
utensils.
I haven't flown since Sept 11, but I remember reading that airlines
weren't even providing cutlery anymore, since it could be used as a
weapon. (If anyone has flown and this isn't the case, don't hesitate
to chime in). Perhaps a good strong paerve breadstick or pretzel
might work for spreads, or better yet, make it before boarding.
