Hi,
Back in September of 2000, while one of my
attendants were driving, I grabbed the steering
wheat trying to cause an accident because I
didn't want to live anymore. As I recall
correctly , I don't want to leave the house that
day. I had a hair appointment that day. My
attendant knew I wasn't feeling well , so , after
my hair appointment , we drove around and we went
to her house.
Well , a half of week later , HomeWard Bound ,
The agency where I get my attendants from , and
my social worker came out , and they said that my
attendants couldn't transport me anymore unless
there were two of them. Well , I don't have the
money for that. So , they suggested the
Commission On Aging bus and other activities. I
like that , but they aren't my age.
I have been having problems with one of my
attendants , calling in making excuses not to
work that day with little advance notice. One
more time , then she is history.
How can people with Cerebral Palsy , that can't
walk , talk , take themselves to bathroom , etc
live alone?

My Ya-Hoo ID: kathyjopinkus
