Hi funsters
Remember the article that suggested that babies born in the summer,
months, in Sweden, have a greater chance of developing celiac disease?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/2579585.stm. I asked you to tell
me your birthday and Zodiac sign because I was curious to know how
the study relates to the general celiac population. I asked for the Zodiac
sign because I could ascertain how many of us were born between June
21 and September 21 which are the seasonal summer months, and because
it might be fun to do so.
I received information on 148 birthdays. Here is what you told me. 41 were
born in in the summer months including 3 born in summer the Southern
Hemisphere, of these only a handful were diagnosed under the age of two.
The breakdown is as follows: January 10; February 13; March 15; April 10;
May 12; June 9; July 15; August 12; September 19; October 9; November 16;
December 8.
And for those of you who like the Zodiac numbers: Capricorn 6; Aquarius 5;
Pisces 15; Aries 11; Taurus 7; Gemini 8; Cancer 10; Leo 17; Virgo 11;
Libra 9; Scorpio 10; Sagittarius 10; Don't knows 28.
Thanks for those of you who played the game, and to Tom who writes,
"As for signs, I have no idea. I don't pay any attention to that nonsense.
If you do, you have no business trying to make any scientific sense out
of anything" I would say, "Lighten up, it is the season to be merry."
Happy Holidays everyone
Valerie (WA)
