I'm curious. I never had "typical" symptoms of celiac and was finally
diagnosed due to anemia (many tests were completed and it was confirmed).
I have attempted to maintain a gluten free diet, however as time goes by
and I rejoin the "rest of the world" in sharing meals, etc, I'm wondering
if I would even know. I find it hard to believe that during the last two
years I haven't had gluten at some time or other and doubt very seriously I
would detect it in any way. That is unless I totally went off the diet for
a length of time which of course I won't do...I understand the risks
involved. So please, if you know what I mean and can tell me what you've
experienced I'd like to hear. Seems like wherever I go (socially, work,
whatever)...people are sharing food and often bringing in special dishes
that aren't supposed to have gluten...but who knows? Thanks for your kind
responses. Janice
