Hi all. I was hoping you all could help me out.
I am very allergic to dairy and eggs (among other things) and get very bad eczema.
My 10 month old daughter has had some diaper rash and a drool rash on her neck which the doc says
may be signs of sensitive skin, but doesn't really show any other signs of allergies. Also, she is the clone
of my husband and he has no allergies. Because of my history, the pediatrician has recommended since birth that we do not
give her dairy or eggs until her digestive tract is full formed...around age 2. For this reason we have
only giver her Alimentum and Nutramigen. My husband is concerned that by keeping her away from dairy, we are
actually making her more unable to digest it. I definitely understand the logic of this, but the docs say it doesn't
work this way. If anyone knows any more about how this works, or can point me in the direction of some
good, concrete reading, I would really appreciate it. Thanks a million.
