Morning all,Every now and then I shut off the computer for a day or so just
to cool off. I might be wrong in doing this, but that is another story.
When I re-booted this morning, Windows sounded like it loaded properly.
There were no extra grunts and groans or dings.
After I loaded Jaws, I found that Windows had opened in Windows explorer
instead of the desktop.
When I do anything, like E-Mail, a task takes at least 4 times longer to
complete than yesterday. This happens even opening a message.
I did a complete shut down again, re-booted, and the same thing happened,
meaning opening in Windows Explorer.
I am using Win/98/SE, Jaws 5.0, and a 800MHZ machine.
Any thoughts on why this has occurred, and a not-to-technical remedy?
Thanks,
Morey
