Frank,

I happened to read your email, and it happens to be about
something that I am familiar with. Although my knowledge is
limited, it may be useful.

Several years ago, I told a girlfriend of mine how I would like
to have clear Dymo tape, but didn't know of any. Well, one day on
her way home from work, she found a roll in a store in NYC.
Unfortunately, I don't know the name of that store, but I could
hunt it down if you get desperate.

I measured my clear Dymo tape (the remnant of the same roll that
she bought 9 years ago) believing it to be the typical size. I
found mine to be three-eighths of an inch in width. Because you
requested one-half inch width, I'm wondering if there is a wider
size, or if you were approximating the width.

I don't know how good you are with the Internet, but have you
tried searching for vendors or the manufacturer on the net? By
the way, I mention Dymo tape in a screenplay that I wrote, and I
spelled it with a capital D. which tells me that I had researched
the word and found that it should be capitalized, and thus, Dymo
is a proper name, like Kleenex, that may be used generically, but
is actually the product name given by a particular manufacturer.

Good luck, and let me know how you make out.

Peter Seymour
