I have a Western Digital WD153BA 15 Gig hard drive as my primary master.  I
use it for a dual boot Win98SE and Win 2000Prof.  These systems are on
different partitions.  98SE is on fat32, and Win 2000 is NFTS.  I have a
Maxtor 52049H4 20 Gig as my primary slave to the Western Digital.  I use it
for installation programs I save, and misc files.  I use the secondary
master and slave for two CD recorders.  My Western Digital works pretty
fast, but the Maxtor is slow as Christmas.  Everything is IDE, no
SCSI's.  I have the jumpers configured according to manufactures specs for
everything.  The hard drives are both 7200's.  Any ideas on what is going
on.  My system is an AMD Athalon 800, with Asus K7V MB.  I have 256MG's of
RAM.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
