    Thanks for your explanation!  The terms are confusing.  Most doctors
don't  understand the difference no matter what you call it.  They haven't studied
foods and how food can affect the immune system. I've Doctor hopped for years
trying to find someone that could help.
    I was recently diagnosed with "severe gluten intolerance" by a
gastroenterologist that specializes in Celiac and gluten intolerance. I don't like the
term intolerance either, because, in my opinion, it isn't good enough for as
sick as I get.  You say intolerance and everyone looks at you like you are just
being picky about your foods. They think you are just a fanatic.  They don't
take you seriously. The name is not indicative of the severity of the problem.
Maybe it should be type one and type two Celiac disease similar to diabetes.
