Here goes the Imam again? How is this a war against Islam? heh heh
Israeli actions are a war against Islam Imam Saja Fatty posits
The Imam of Tallinding and president of the Gambia Islamic Union, Alhagie
Saja Fatty has described Israeli military attacks on Palestine as ‘a war
against Islam.’ He was speaking at the official opening of the Kiang Keneba
Mosque where he said ‘the major aim of Israel and her allies is to fight and
conquer Islam.’ To forestall such a pernicious intention, the Imam called on
all Muslims to rise up now and get prepared for the worst in the current
Israeli-Palestinian conflicts.
‘We should not allow things to continue going on like that. If we don’t
stand firm our faith will be at stake.’ He admonished that Muslims have
nothing but Islam and that anything that would stand on the way to the growth
and consolidation of the faith should be vehemently resisted. Imam Saja Fatty
sees the intervention of the Muslim Ummah as the only solution that could
free Palestinians from the clutches of Israeli military power. Therefore, he
called on Muslim leaders across the globe to join forces with the
Palestinians to fight Israel.
To buttress the reasonableness of his opinion, he cited the recent call by
Omar Wurasu, the representative of the Saudi Arabia Islamic Affairs Ministry
and director of Omar Bun Hatab Islamic School, on every nation to help rescue
Palestine from Israeli occupation. He emphasized the importance of Palestine
to Muslims, as the country where Prophet Muhammed (PBH) answered the calls of
Allah the Almighty. ‘It is not a political, but rather a religious war aimed
at conquering the Islamic religion’, he opined, while enjoining all Muslims
to offer prayers for the peace of Palestine and its people.
