As I recall, Ray never claimed that there weren't populations that had
made greater or lesser adaptations. His main point is that there is a
significant portion of the population which has NOT adapted, and suffers
terribly from the effects of the "modern" diet. Critics like your
naturopath can point to exceptions all they want, but that does nothing
to invalidate the theory, and certainly doesn't answer the reasons for
the effectiveness of the paleo diet in improving all sorts of health
problems, just as Ray predicts.
