Hi listmembers

Does anyone know whether Celiac Disease affects the blood pressure of a
person. I have had celiac disease all my life (diagnosed at about 10 months
old) but when I was 11 years old I was put back on a normal gluten
containing diet until the age of 38!

During that time, all my teenage years and early adulthood I used to feel
tired, was anaemic, prone to fainting etc and had low blood pressure.
However it was not realised at that time that I needed to go back on to a
gluten free diet.

My query is: my blood pressure was so low when younger (90/60) but now I am
on a strict gluten free diet it is a bit high (149/95). Is it just that I
am older now or has going on a GF diet made my blood pressure higher?

Thanks everyone

Christine
