Has anybody had experience with these products since they merged?, or
rather, since Quantum was merged almost out of sight ?

Some time ago, before the merger, I bought a Quantum Fireball Plus AS
20Gb. drive.
A quick look at their website at the time recommended using 'Disk
Manager' to format and partition.
Since the merger, their websites have also merged, and now 'MaxBlast' is
recommended for both HDDs. However, a little further reading states,
" There must be at least one Maxtor Hard Disk Drive installed in the
system for MaxBlast Plus to run "
I presume some-one has forgotten to add the words, "or Quantum" - ( as
opposed to rival companys products )

I need to partition the drive into two, to allow for a Linux partition.
( I know Linux can do this, - but a clean install is the aim )
At some future stage I intend to add a second HDD. and will probably buy
'Partition Magic' or similar, as a way of managing it all.

As a newbie, I welcome all, and any advice, ideas or pointers about
partitioning and formatting.
Many of the websites I've consulted are confusing, - some are obviously
out of date.
Your words of one syllable may help my simple brain .

Cheers,
Kevin,
New Zealand.
