Harry, Have you checked your display settings? I am also using windows 98
with JAWS 4.51 and even though the default settings work fine with windows
XP, I have discovered that 256 colours and a resolution of 800x600 work best
with windows 98. I have found that when my settings weren't set at these
levels, JAWS wouldn't read the menus. Hope this helps, Judy

Hi David,
Well, I went to controll pannel, pressed i for internet explorer and all it
says is internet options, so that wasn't it. Then, I went to desktop and
pressed i and it of course said internet explorer and pressed altv and
didn't hear anything there. So I then pressed enter to launch internet
explorer and it launched and I then pressed alt v and all I got was a bell
sound, I couldn't go to view.
