These files are not "hidden" at all and are a normal part of the
web caching process, and Microsoft has explained them, such as:

This whole article is simply scaremongering nonsense which is not
grounded in reality. Other browsers do indeed cache files and maintain
a list of visited locations as well. If you don't like this behavior,
you can turn off your cache, although this is a normal and expected
part of browser use, not some deep "Microsoft sekrit plot."
