That's not what Rush's show is all about.  His radio program is not
"Rush and his amazing struggles with a disability", it's "Rush tells
you why the liberals are ruining this country."

The advertisers didn't pay for spots on a show about someone in a
heroic struggle to cope with deafness; they paid for Rush being
Rush, being a pompous arrogant conservative.  Sharing his experience
adapting to his disability would change the very nature of Rush's
show.  How often does Rush _ever_ talk about his personal life?
Not very.

Acquiring a disability doesn't mean that your life's work has to
stop and change to be about that disability.  Rush is a conservative
talk show host -- his life's work is bashing liberals.  Why would
we expect him to do any less now that he's deaf?

PS:  I can't stand Rush's politics -- so I'm not just "supporting"
      him because I'm conservative (I'm actually quite liberal).
