In a recent discussion of alternatives to the Perkins Brailler on another list, someone offered a link on Braille Writing Devices from the Tiresias International web site, an information resource for people working in the field fo visual disabilities. It's Bobby approved and I believe worthy of investigation!

http://www.tiresias.org/

The site has links on devices, research, scientific and technological reports, publications, agencies, etc. as well as a search feature, and the site authors are affiliated with the Royal National Institute for the Blind and Moorfields Eye Hospital.
